Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Salute: Military Network ("Salute," "we," "us," or "our"), a military benefits, resources, and networking platform operated by All Salute LLC, collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the Salute application and related services.

1. Information We Collect

Account & Profile Information: When you create or update an account, we may collect your name, display name, email address, profile photo, bio, self-reported gender, military status, branch, rank, and general profile location such as state, U.S. territory, or country.

Benefit Preferences & Salute Activity: We collect information you choose or generate while using Salute, including benefit interests, saved resources, Daily Benefit unlocks and streaks, Salute Plan selections and progress, achievements, referrals, follows, likes, comments, and other feature interactions. We use this information to operate and personalize Salute.

User-Generated Content & Messaging: We store posts, stories, short videos (Snips), comments, direct messages, partner messages, and photos or videos you upload so those features can function.

Location Information: Your saved profile location is a general location such as a state, territory, or country. Separately, when you deliberately choose Use My Location in Salute Nearby or Near Me in SALUTE Events, Salute temporarily processes your device latitude and longitude to identify or sort nearby public resources or events. Precise coordinates are used to service that request and are not saved to your Salute profile or sent to Salute analytics.

Notifications, Device & Communication Information: We may process your notification permission and preferences, email preferences, device platform, app version, device timezone, and notification-delivery identifiers such as OneSignal external, user, or subscription identifiers. Salute does not store the raw operating-system push token in the UserProfile record.

Analytics & Acquisition Information: We collect privacy-limited usage and attribution information to understand app performance, acquisition, activation, retention, and feature effectiveness. This may include app/page activity, resource opens and saves, plan activity, onboarding checkpoints, notification funnel and campaign outcomes, platform and app version, UTM campaign fields, referring domain, and initial landing path. Salute's app analytics do not intentionally include message content, precise Nearby coordinates, passwords, payment card numbers, or sensitive documents.

AI-Powered Resource Concierge: When you use the Salute Resource Concierge, your question and relevant Salute context may be processed to provide a personalized response. Relevant context may include your military status, branch, state, benefit interests, saved resources, and Salute Plans. If the Concierge cannot answer a question, Salute may retain a short sanitized content-gap summary associated with an internal user identifier to improve resource coverage. The Concierge is designed not to request or process Social Security numbers, medical records, claim evidence, bank account information, passwords, tax returns, or other sensitive documents.

Military-Owned Business Information: If you create a Military-Owned Business listing, we may collect the owner's name, email, phone number, military status, branch, business information, public business contact details, listing content, business analytics, subscription status, Premium Perk submissions, and merchant-side Premium Perk redemption activity needed to operate the directory and SALUTE Pro Business features.

SALUTE Event Calendar Information: If you submit an event, we may collect the event details, organizer name and contact information, registration link, general event location, and your account identifier so Salute can review and manage the submission. Approved event details may be displayed to members. Event reports and related moderation information may also be retained for review and safety.

Payments & Subscription Information: Salute Premium and SALUTE Pro Business checkout are processed through Base44 Payments/Wix on a hosted payment page. Salute may store provider transaction, order, customer, checkout, and subscription identifiers; purchase amount, currency, payment status, plan, and buyer email where needed for fulfillment, cancellation, refunds, accounting, fraud prevention, or support. Payment-card and bank-account details entered on the hosted payment page are processed by the payment provider and are not stored by Salute in its app database.

Moderation, Reports & Safety Data: If you report content or another user, block a user, or contact us about a safety issue, we may retain the report, relevant moderation information, review actions, and safety-related communications to investigate abuse, enforce our Terms, comply with law, and protect users.

Technical & Service Log Data: Our infrastructure and service providers may process technical information such as device or browser type, operating system, app version, IP address, request metadata, and error or diagnostic logs for authentication, security, fraud prevention, reliability, and troubleshooting.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To measure acquisition, activation, retention, feature performance, and notification effectiveness using analytics.
  • To prevent fraud, abuse, spam, unauthorized access, and duplicate or unsafe activity.
  • To enforce our Terms, Community Standards, and child-safety requirements and respond to reports.
  • To comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.

3. Device Permissions

Salute may request the following permissions only when a feature needs them:

  • Location — when you choose to use your current location in Salute Nearby or SALUTE Events to find or sort nearby resources and events.
  • Camera — to take photos or videos for supported profile or community features, or to scan supported QR codes such as a Salute Premium Card in an authorized business scanner.
  • Photo Library / Storage — to upload photos or videos from your device.
  • Microphone — when recording supported video content with audio.
  • Notifications — to receive push notifications and alerts.
  • Internet Access — required for online app features.

You can deny or revoke optional permissions through your device settings. Some features will not function without the permission they require.

4. Information Sharing

With Other Users: Information you make public through your profile, posts, comments, business listing, or other public features is visible to other Salute users as part of normal App functionality. Direct messages are intended for their conversation participants and authorized moderation or safety review when necessary.

With Verified Partners: Verified Partners may use approved Salute tools to communicate with eligible users through in-app messaging. Salute may also send approved partner or resource emails to members who are eligible under their communication preferences. Partners do not receive your private Salute contact information from these tools unless you separately choose to provide it to them.

Service Providers: We use service providers to operate Salute, including Base44 for application infrastructure and authentication, OneSignal and Median-supported integrations for notifications and native app functionality, Base44 Payments/Wix for Salute Premium and SALUTE Pro Business checkout and subscription processing, and providers used for hosting, analytics, email delivery, security, and AI-assisted features. These providers may process information only as needed to provide their services to Salute, subject to their applicable terms, privacy obligations, and law.

Payment Providers: When you purchase a paid Salute feature or subscription, including Salute Premium or SALUTE Pro Business, information required to complete and administer the transaction is shared with the payment processor. Salute does not receive or store full payment-card or bank-account credentials entered on the provider's hosted checkout.

Legal & Safety Disclosures: We may disclose information when required by law, legal process, or a valid government request; to protect rights, safety, or security; to investigate fraud or abuse; or to address child safety concerns. This may include reporting apparent child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or child exploitation activity to appropriate authorities or organizations such as NCMEC where required by applicable law.

Business Transfers: If Salute or All Salute LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction subject to applicable law and appropriate protections.

No Sale of Personal Information: We do not sell your personal information to third parties for money.

5. Data Retention & Account Deletion

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Salute, maintain security and integrity, satisfy the purposes described in this policy, and comply with legal obligations.

You can delete your account from Profile → Settings → Delete Account. When deletion completes, Salute deletes or de-identifies the account and current Salute records tied to that account, including profile information, user content, messages and conversation data, social relationships, saved resources, Salute Plan and benefit-journey data, user-linked app-retention and push analytics records, acquisition attribution, notification records, referral records, and applicable business listing records.

If your account has an active provider-linked Salute Premium or SALUTE Pro Business subscription, Salute first attempts to cancel each provider subscription so account deletion does not leave active billing behind. If any required cancellation cannot be confirmed, account deletion is stopped and you are asked to retry or contact support.

Certain information may be retained when reasonably necessary for legal or regulatory compliance, financial or transaction recordkeeping, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, chargebacks or refunds, safety investigations, content moderation, child-safety obligations, or enforcement. Where practical, retained records are minimized or de-identified. Aggregated or de-identified analytics that no longer identify your account may also be retained. Service providers may retain limited information under their own lawful retention obligations.

6. Security

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to protect information. No method of transmission or electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children's Privacy

Salute is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Salute prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), CSAM, grooming, sexualization, and exploitation of minors. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to Salute, or you have a child-safety concern, contact partner@allsalute.com.

8. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, obtain a copy of, object to, or restrict certain processing of your personal information. You may also have the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To make a request, use the in-app controls where available or contact us below. We may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests.

9. International & European Users

Salute is operated from the United States and may use service providers that process information in the United States or other countries. For users in the European Economic Area, the legal bases for processing may include performance of our contract with you, consent, legitimate interests in operating and protecting Salute, and compliance with legal obligations.

10. Communication Choices

You can manage supported push and email preferences in Salute's Communication Preferences. You can also disable push notifications through your device settings and use unsubscribe controls in applicable emails. Transactional, safety, security, or legally required communications may still be sent when necessary.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Salute changes. If a change is material, we may provide notice in the App or through another appropriate method. The current effective date appears below.
